Peter Wilson: The two sides met, with visitors Mannamead hoping to keep in touch with league leaders Devonshire. In the opening rubbers, both sides first pairs secured maximum points against the opposing second pairs, with few games dropped. At the halfway stage, Ivybridge trailed 20-21. Unfortunately for Mannamead, at this stage Victor Agbaka was forced to retire through injury. In the remaining match between the two first pairs, injury struck Mannamead again. Andrew Leigh, despite his efforts to carry on, was also forced to retire with he and Alex Cox leading 6-3, 2-0. Despite the injuries, some entertaining tennis, and a season record home attendance of 4.
